Reading Rails Roald Dahl Challenge

23rd October 2020
Great excitement in Year 4 today as our Roald Dahl reading challenge came to an end.

Every Roald Dahl book read equaled one chance to find a golden ticket in one of our envelopes, and Mrs Renton made sure the children who couldn't be with us today had envelopes allocated to them.

As Year 4 have read so many books this half term there were lots of chances to win and as a class they were able to find three tickets in their envelopes! One was a book voucher for the lucky winner, and the other were whole class rewards including extra bonus break time and a VIP cinema experience.

Well done to everyone who took part in the reading challenge in Year 4 this half term, reading over two million words between them in the process!

With Year 3 still to open their envelopes after the holidays, and Years 5 and 6 also claiming some prizes, it's been a great first half term visiting stations completing lines on Reading Rails. I can't wait to see what they can achieve with the new challenges in November!
