We had a very special visitor in school today to present our victorious Under 11 Football Team with their trophies. Mr Baker, former Kibblesworth teacher and current head of the Chester-le-Street Schools FA, arrived in assembly to congratulate the team on an excellent season. 

Having gone the whole season undefeated - and without conceding a single goal - our team won the league title for the first time in 54 years - our last winning campaign coming in 1972 when Mr Baker actually ran the Kibblesworth team! 

As well as turning in a championship winning performance across the season, Mr Baker also acknowledged that other schools had commented on the attitude, team spirit and sportsmanship of our team - something we are just as proud of as the trophy itself. 

Congratulations again to the entire team, both for the win, and the way you represented our school and village throughout the season.
