Anne Frank Trust

Year had the opportunity again this year to work wth the Anne Frank Trust to learn more about the struggles Jewish people faced during the Second World War.

Working alongside Sam from the Trust, pupils learned about Anne's life, the prejudice faced by Jews, and the atrocities committed against them.

Children reflected on this by creating their own reflections: some pupils wrote about Anne's life, some wrote poetry, some even wrote their own rap.

To showcase their work, we invited the families of Year 6 children into school to watch an assembly led by pupils. The children spoke eloquently and thoughtfully, sharing what they had learned and relfecting upon everything Anne and other Jewish people endured. Throughout this, the pupils showed their maturity in dealing with such a sensitive issue. Well done Year 6.
