First Rock Wrangle champion decided!

24th May 2019
We held our fist ever Rock Wrangle today when 16 of our finest TT Rock Star players came head to head in the hall to take part in a knock-out competition.

It was a fantastic feat to even reach the quarter finals, but from that point it got really serious. Eventually, round by round, pupils were eliminated with the final four taking to the floor for the final. With the school cheering on, the four finalists battled it out with one member of Year 4 being crowned our first Rock Wrangle Champion.

The winning time of 0.66 seconds per answer in the final was tremendous, and was only eclipses by the same pupil's score in the semi-finals where she broke the magical 100 correct answers barrier - the first person to achieve that at Kibblesworth - and averaging an unbelievable 0.56 seconds per answer. When you consider what that means - to read a mixed times table question, including division questions, understand it, work out the answer and then key it in to an ipad in half a second, and THEN do that for over ONE minute, you start to realise what an achievement it is, and what a worthy champion we have here.

Congratulations to all who took part, and keep up the hard work - perhaps next time it will be you holding the trophy and winner's guitar!
